Christmas Chronicles 2 has arrived on Netflix, meaning we finally have an excuse to sit back and allow Kurt Russell (Santa) and Goldie Havan (Mrs. Claus) to get us in the holiday spirit.
The Christmas Chronicles 2 – 6 Facts
In honor of the much-anticipated sequel, we sat down for an interview with franchise star Darby Camp (Kate Pierce), who shared specifics about the holiday. From the cast to the animated elves, here are six things you (probably) don’t know about Christmas Chronicles 2.
1. THE SEQUEL IS WAY ‘BIGGER’ THAN THE FIRST
Comparing the two films, Camp admitted that Christmas Chronicles 2 has “more thrills” yet.
“Two things are happening: helping Mrs Claus with Jack [Jahzir Bruno] and then helping me save Christmas,” she explained. “And the set on the other one is too big.”
For the storyline, Camp also reported that Kate has grown “big” since the first film. “She is now a teenager, and she is more self-centred than ever, not really thinking about her family,” she said. “It’s good to see him grow as a person in films.”
2. KURT & GOLDIE ARE THE RINGLEADERS OF THE CAST
Camp confirmed that Russell and Havan are only acceptable in real life. “Working with Mr. Kurt and Mrs. Goldie was just so magical,” she said. “They are such bright people and everywhere they go, they just light up the room. And every time they see each other, you can tell that they are in love with each other.”

3. THE NORTH POLE LANGUAGE WAS BUILT BY A ‘GAME OF THRONES’ WRITER
It is true, Camp explained that the language described in the film (AKA Elvish) was founded by a GoT alum. “They actually found the guy who wrote a language for Game of Thrones. It’s a real language that you can learn, and I thought it was so interesting and cool, “she explained. “Actually it is very difficult to learn.” Each word is very important with sounds – it is very difficult. But it was also a fun and good experience. “
4. THE CAST NEVER MET THE ELVES
In the film, Kate regularly interacts with Santa’s elves. Discussing his experience on the set, Camp reported that he never actually got to meet the characters, as they were later paired using CGI technology.
Camp admitted that it was not easy to “act for anything”, but is pleased with the finished product. “And then when you watch the movie or when it’s finished, it’s like, ow wow, there was nothing there,” she continued.
5. DARBY CAMP DID ALMOST EVERY) HER OWN STUNTS
We didn’t give any spoilers, but Christmas Chronicles 2 has a lot of action. Camp admitted that he did most of his stunts (with a few exceptions). “I did most of my stunts—not all of them, because I couldn’t get hurt. But I did as much as I could,” she said.
The actress said that she hopes to experience more stunt work in the future, “I love doing stunts. It’s one of my favourite parts, being on a harness and then the wire.”
6. THERE MIGHT BE CHANCES FOR ‘CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES 3’
Although Netflix has not made an official announcement, Camp confirmed that she is hopeful of a comeback for another film. “I’d be interested in doing a third one,” She said. “I would love to work with everyone again.”
She said, “If we get the third one, I’d really like to see [Kate] really run Sleeve on her own.” I noted in the first and second that Kate never got to drive Sleeve. She rides the sleigh, but she has never agreed to drive the sleigh – such as actually handling the reins and going, the on dasher! On Dancer! ”
Christmas Christian 2 is now running on Netflix.
